We offer tours of varying degrees of difficulty accompanied by a guide. On the hike you will experience the uniquely fascinating winter landscape of Sweden. The tours are suitable both for beginners as well as for advanced snowshoe-hikers. Previous experience is not required.
These snowshoe tours include the accompaniment of a local guide, rental of snowshoe equipment as well as warm drinks for a break on the way.
Do you want to go on these tours yourself? That is also possible of course. It will be us a pleasure to give you tips for the tours or recommend more snowshoe hikes in the area.

An easy hike which is suitable to try snowshoeing and for beginners. This harmonious tour leads through northern Swedish primeval forest and deep snow over the snow-covered brook Styggbäcken. Rest at the wind shelter with warm drinks.
Duration: approx. 1,5 - 2 hours
Price: 70 Euro incl. 2 persons, each additional person 25 Euro
A beautiful hike up the nearby local mountain. We take a photo stop at the top of the snow-covered Predikstolen. Then we continue to the wind shelter an take a short rest there.
Guided snowshoe-tours
The guided hikes are available as a snowshoe tour or a guided ski tour and include the rental of snowshoes or skis with poles, local guide, warm drinks and snack where applicable. Snowshoeing in Sweden becomes a great experience at Galå Fjällgård!

These winter special tours challenge you to combine riding
by snowmobile to the starting point and snowshoeing to the objective. The rental of the snowmobile

Sledding at Galå Fjällgård
A short slope directly behind the lodge is the toboggan run for our youngest guests. Children will find fun and variety sledding here.
Children and adults who want to sled a longer distance can try the slope downwards from the small local peak of Predikstolen. Depending on snow and weather conditions, there is also enough drive for tobogganing there.
Sled Cross Park in Persåsen
Persåsbacken (Persåsens piste) offers a different kind of snow fun. The facility is run by a non-profit association. Sledding as a winter activity is possible for everyone here.
As a beginner you start with a general instruction in driving techniques and safety regulations and you will pass the sledge driving license for enjoying your first ride on one of the fast pistes.
Pistenkarte
With the help of a ski lift (platter lift) you can reach the top of the small mountain. Various slopes with different levels of difficulty await you. The longest slopes are 650 meters and 1,250 meters long.
The centrally located clubhouse "Svedjan" offers the opportunity to warm up and eat small snacks.
The rental of a sled is included in the price of the lift ticket. Open three days a week during winter season.

The mountain area in Swedish Jämtland is extensive and above the tree line at 800 m as well as over the Swedish high moors there are terrific possibilties for ski-touring. Popular destinations for a ski tour are Oviksfjällens summit of Hundshögen or the mountains around nearby Lunndörren and Anaris.
You can go ski touring along the marked winter hiking trails or freely throughout the mountains in unmarked terrain. The glacier of Helags and its mountain station are also popular for a tour for many guests. A sleigh for luggage makes it easier to transport.
